David Selinger, CEO and Co-Founder
David Selinger founded Deep Sentinel in 2016 when he saw the potential for AI to radically reinvent the legacy home security market. A serial entrepreneur and artificial intelligence (AI) pioneer, Selly (as he is known to his friends and colleagues) started his career in R&D at Amazon, where he developed the first commercial product recommendation system. He subsequently co-founded Redfin, the next-generation real estate brokerage, and RichRelevance, the #1 provider of personalization for brands like Office Depot and Costco.
Recognized as a “40-under-40” innovator in the San Francisco region, he is active in social change, serving as a co-founder of Silicon Climate, and as an advisor to Opus 12, Gridcure, and the Rainforest Connection.
Selly received his BS in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Winston Chen, Co-Founder and Lead Engineer
Deep Sentinel co-founder Winston Chen leads the company’s engineering efforts in the US and Taiwan. Formerly a senior engineer at machine learning startups Fliptop (LinkedIn), Banjo, and Quid, he also co-founded the first consumer insurance information portal in Taiwan, InsureMe.tw.
Based on his work experience as a software engineer in Taiwan and Silicon Valley, Winston writes a popular Taiwan-based blog highlighting cultural differences in organizational structure and management style between the two environments. Public interest grew to the point where he was approached to write a book, which was ultimately published in 2015.
Winston holds a BS in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University in Taiwan.
Bari Abdul, CMO
As CMO, Bari Abdul brings to Deep Sentinel more than 20 years of expertise in uncovering deep consumer insights to help build billion-dollar consumer businesses. He previously led the global consumer marketing team at McAfee Security software, doubling the business during his tenure to $1 billion. Bari also served as General Manager of the consumer business at Check Point Software, a leading company in enterprise and consumer security software. He launched his career with deep consumer foundations built at Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo. Bari also co-founded Hallway.com, a social media reviews and ratings company. He is an investor in and advisor to several companies, including Build.com and YourSports.com.
Bari has an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BS degree in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Lee Guinchard, COO
Lee brings 25 years of hardware, manufacturing and supply chain experience to his role as COO of Deep Sentinel. Prior to Deep Sentinel, Lee was Studio Head of Red Octane Design and VP of Hardware at video game publisher Activision Blizzard. While at Activision Blizzard, he oversaw hardware development, manufacturing and compliance for multibillion dollar franchises such as Guitar Hero and Skylanders. Lee was also Founder and CEO of Joytech, a global video game accessory company, as well as Founder and Managing Director of LDA Distribution, a leading pan-European video game distributor. Both companies were acquired by Take 2 Interactive, a multinational publisher and distributor of video games.
Lee studied Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications with the Royal Air Force.
Jamison Cummings, Head of Security
As Head of Hardware at Deep Sentinel, Jamison Cummings focuses on supporting operations and delivering the innovative, high-quality security products demanded by consumers today. Prior to Deep Sentinel, Jamison had extensive experience leading global teams at successful, high-growth companies. As an early employee at Tesla Motors, he was instrumental in creating the Tesla’s Service Engineering and Training teams from scratch. He also led manufacturing at Skully Systems, makers of high tech helmets, as Vice President of Manufacturing Operations.
Jamison has a degree in Automotive Technology from the Wyoming Technical Institute.

Georges Harik, Advisor and Investor
Dr. Georges Harik, Ph.D, is an angel investor and advisor to various startups focusing on the areas of internet applications, machine learning, advertising technologies, and biotechnology. One of Google’s first ten employees, Harik was the co-developer of the technology behind AdSense, and served as the first Engineering Manager of the Google Search Appliance. He was also responsible for product and strategy for Gmail, Google Talk, Google Video, Picasa, and more. He founded IM network platform imo.im, and also co-founded HS Labs.org, an open source artificial intelligence research lab.

Guitar Hero launched in 2005 and went on to become the fastest video game to reach $1 billion in sales, and was the bestselling video game in the world in 2007 and 2008. He is a Member of the Advisory Board for SparkLabs Taipei, an accelerator network with a focus on preparing Taiwanese startups to enter other countries.
